Ingredients

Bread:
– 8-10 slices whole wheat bread, cubed (about 4-5 cups)
– 1/2 cup butter, melted

Filling:
– 1 pound smoked turkey tenderloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
– 1 16-ounce can sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
– 2 cups shredded smoked Gouda cheese
– 1/2 cup Russian dressing
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill (optional)
– 2 teaspoons smoked paprika (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch rectangular baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, toss the cubed whole wheat bread with the melted butter until evenly coated.
3. Spread half of the bread cubes evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
4. Layer the smoked turkey tenderloin over the bread cubes.
5. Sprinkle the sauerkraut over the turkey tenderloin.
6. Distribute half of the shredded smoked Gouda cheese on top of the sauerkraut.
7. Drizzle the Russian dressing evenly over the cheese layer.
8. Sprinkle with chopped dill and smoked paprika if using.
9. Top with the remaining bread cubes and shredded smoked Gouda cheese.
10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread cubes are golden brown on top.
11. Let cool slightly before serving.
