Indulge in a comforting and savory dish with this chicken tenderloin recipe. It’s a quick and easy meal that’s perfect for cozy dinners and sure to impress your family and friends.

Ingredients

– 4 chicken tenderloins
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 tablespoon butter
– 1 cup sliced mushrooms
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup chicken broth
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
– 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
– Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

1. Season the chicken tenderloins with salt and pepper on both sides.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken tenderloins and sear until golden brown, approximately 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown and have released their moisture.
4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Stir in the flour and cook for an additional 1 minute to make a roux.
6. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream, ensuring no lumps form. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
7. Return the chicken tenderloins to the skillet and nestle them into the creamy sauce. Add fresh thyme leaves and simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the chicken to cook through.
8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
